Blue Healer

notice-boardSometimes a dog is more than a dog.

The Australian Cattle Dog was developed by a 19th century farmer, Thomas Hall, who crossed dogs used by drovers in Northumberland with tamed dingoes. The animals were energetic, intelligent and keen to round up cattle by nipping at their feet.

When Hall died, his Heelers became publicly available.

Blue Heelers are intensely loyal. Sometimes they are even protective of not only their owner, but their owner’s stuff too.

In their more tender moments, owners of Blue Heelers have been known to describe the dog as a friend, or a best mate.

And sometimes, with a simple capitalised typo, the owners of Blue Heelers reveal the depth of this connection.
